just take a "quick shower." Ever!
We got home from the gym this morning and I thought, "I'll just take a quick shower while Miles watches 'The Bee Movie'."
I'm in the shower and I notice it's awfully quiet. I guess most of us mothers know this is not a good sign. So I'm literally taking a military shower wondering what the outcome is going to be.
I finish up, rush out in a towel and am greeted by my German neighbor holding my son's hand who is covered in BLUE! As well as my floors, walls, and computer. In the total 5 minutes of my shower he managed to locate a marker (which is supposed to be on the top shelf) color everything in site, open our front door and run wild up and down the stairwell outside!
How does this happen?! I didn't know he could even open doors, let alone our front door!
I am just amazed out how my sweet little boy who normally plays quietly in the corner was left unsupervised for 5 minutes went and painted the town red or should I say blue?
LESSON LEARNED!
I can't believe we don't get a picture!?! Try using "goo gone" or magic eraser to get it all clean... we've all had these moments.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I guess these days are coming for me :) When my brother was little, my dad left him watching TV so he could take a shower. He got out of the shower to find Seth at the door with the neighbor. My brother had gotten scared because he couldn't find my dad (even though he told Seth he was going to take a shower) and he decided to go outside and start knocking on our neighbors doors asking if they knew where my dad was! Plus, he only had a T-shirt on and no underwear (thankfully it was a longer T-shirt!) I think he was about 3 or 4 so this is what you still have to look forward to!!! Needless to say, I am sure our neighbors thought we were crazy!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that!!! I'm so glad he was okay! The little monster. :)
ReplyDeleteWe had Kessler returned to us via neighbors many times. Naptime is your only safe haven (for now). He doesn't climb out of the crib yet, does he? Kessler started that at 18 months, and I quickly went a bought a "crib tent" (did you know there was such a thing?). I still have it...just in case a relative of mine needs it one day. :)
